What does our “life together” entail?

Worship: Every Sunday @ 5:30 pm in the York Room of Duke Divinity School
Come be fed spiritually in Word and Sacrament, and physically in the free home-cooked meal that follows. All are welcome!

Fellowship Lunches: Every Wednesday between 11:30-1:30 @ West Union
Bring some friends and join Duke Lutherans at The Skillet. Bonus: Duke Lutherans picks up the tab every other week!

B-Stud: Every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30 pm in the York Room of Duke Divinity School
That’s our way of saying Bible Study. All undergrads welcome each week. Come as you are, find community, ask hard questions, and explore how your story is part of God’s story.

Durham Pub Theology: First Thursday of every month at Pour Taproom in downtown Durham from 7-8:15 pm
At Martin Luther’s famous “Table Talks,” Marty and friends would gather at a table for lively theological conversation. We do the same at Pub Theology, a monthly ecumenical gathering for grad students and young adults in the Durham community. Past Topics have included Faith + Doubt, Faith + Science, Faith + Consumerism, Faith + Suffering, and Faith + Phones, among others. Check out our facebook page for upcoming events. Family, friends, and first-timers are warmly welcome to the table.

Tutoring: Every Tuesday night from 7:30-9 pm at Pilgrim UCC
Duke Lutherans doesn’t just happen on campus…it happens throughout our community! Join us for tutoring each week, where tutors are paired with a student (K-12) from Durham Public Schools. Bonus: Speak Spanish? Most of the students are from the Latino community. Don’t speak Spanish? That’s OK too. You just might pick up a word or two along the way!

Seminarian Support: Navigating the Lutheran ordination process? Or perhaps feeling called to ministry? Duke Lutherans provides ongoing support and monthly fellowship lunches at the Divinity School Café. Contact our Divinity School Ambassador, Julie Tonnesen, to learn more.

Durham Pilgrimage – Sept 21-23

How do Durham’s story, your story, and God’s story connect?
What does it mean to live as neighbors?
How are we called to live out our faith in the place that we live?

Join Duke Lutherans for this transformative weekend immersion experience, hosted by Duke’s Center for Reconciliation and DurhamCares. Through visiting important local sites and hearing the stories of neighbors who have shaped this city, participants reckon with both the pain and hope of the Durham community. Learn more about the Pilgrimage from this short video. Email Ali to learn more and claim your spot today!
